All appointments are cancelled...

So, as of now I am sure we are all receiving "the alerts". You know the ones I am talking about
ūüĎČ Hair salon @ 6:30pm, Waxing @ 11:30am, Nails @ 2:30pm...
And we are left with, well, not our best-self version that we are used to. Rather, cancelled appointments.
So we wanted to share with you some things we have been doing here at Golf Gals. Remember, we believe in A Lifestyle Inspired By You. And we MEAN that! So, in this time of much needed self care we reached out to all of our friends and family to see what little self care secrets they have kept tucked away.
So let's begin...

Dry hands & Not So glamorous nails.
Straight from Mema her self! Mema has raised 3 children, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grand child...with those hard working hands, she knows a thing or two.
Vitamin E for the nails. We recommend Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nails & Cuticle, which you can easily get from Amazon to avoid being out and about.
How do you apply vitamin E to your nails?
How to apply
  1. Brush on Vitamin E Nail & Cuticle Oil nightly.
  2. Massage nails to help increase circulation to nail bed and stimulate growth.
  3. Wash off before applying nail color. Can be used over nail color or on bare nails.
What about those hands? You, like me, have probably washed your hands more recently then you ever have in your entire life!
Coconut Oil. We recommend Kopari. If you have not used this line before, check them out! Even their all natural deodorants are AMAZING!
Coconut oil can provide relief from dry or cracked skin, particularly on harder to treat areas such as the feet or hands. ... You can even add a large teaspoon of coconut oil to some warm water in a foot or hand bath and let the oil soak into the skin, whilst you sit and relax.

So onto hair!
For those of you who started with short hair and now have long hair... We went to Joy! Joy describes her look as a " deformed Q-Tip." Because her hair is at the ugly growing out stage that was NOT supposed to be happening...and is.
For those of you with short(er) hair Joy suggests this¬†ūüĎČ Switch your shampoo, as a matter of fact try different hair products!¬†
With the consistent showering and washing your water will start to take a toll on your hair!
So, Joy switched over to a clarifying shampoo.¬†Think of clarifying shampoos as shampoos on steroids‚ÄĒthey cut through product buildup and oils to leave your hair super-clean. We suggest Perfect Hair Day | Triple Detox Shampoo.
Also, try adding a dry shampoo to your routine to help with some body and texture and to help eliminate all of the washing. Try R+Co Death Valley Dry Shampoo.
Last, pull out that sea salt spray! Add this to your routine for a nice tossed and natural look! We suggest Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray.
You can finish with a straightener and smooth over some of those wild edges!

Waxing...Or NOT!
Let me be clear, this is something I will NOT be doing at home! So I have been having to shave again much more frequently! And shaving as we all know is an absolute pain!
So I suggest Aveeno Therapeutic Shaving Cream & Cool Fix Razor Bump Cream! Don't forget about your razor! Which ever type you use, make sure you are changing out those blades!
What I have learned through all of this is that self care has actually been much needed and overdue!
I forgot just how much I could actually do on my own! Do NOT get me wrong, I LOVE my PEOPLE & I cannot wait until things get back to normal and I can head back into my team of professionals! But in the interim it has been rather lovely to get back to the basics and embrace the beauty within.
